ON AIR is a lightweight web model viewer developed by bimsontop to address the difficulties of accessing BIM models at construction sites. It allows users without separate BIM applications, high-spec workstations, or knowledge of tool usage to easily rotate and view 3D models and check simple properties in a web environment. Specifically, it has been applied to the Gyeonggi Library site, enhancing the understanding of space for irregular buildings and facilitating collaboration among various construction stakeholders.
Currently, ON AIR supports features such as 'model filters adjustable by trade', 'saving specific views', 'checking properties of components', 'measuring dimensions', 'viewing models by floor', and 'confirming grid positions corresponding to observation points'. These features enable users to easily and simply review BIM models, check construction sequences step-by-step using the filter function, and review progress plans.
